ONCE CONSIDERED FOR THE PART
OF BONNIE PARKER
THE BEAUTIES & CUTIES
Warner Bros. Movie
Future Stars

Faye Dunaway ultimately got the part as Bonnie, but Sharon Tate, Tuesday Weld,
Jane Fonda, Ann-Margret, Carol Lynley, Natalie Wood, Shirley MacLaine, Leslie Caron,
Cher, Jean Hale and Sue Lyon, were originally considered for the part of Ms.Parker.
Faye had dropped thirty pounds to achieve the leaner look of the Texas gunmoll.

A virtually unknown actress when she accepted the role of Bonnie Parker, Florida born
Dorothy Faye Dunaway appeared in "Hurry Sundown" but in reality made her actual screen
debut as "Sandy" in 1967's "The Happening", about a group of young beach bums who get their
kicks by kidnapping a once big-time Mafia boss, Roc Delmonico (played by Anthony Quinn),
but in the end things turn out quite differently then the young hoodlems first expected.

Warren had a tough job ahead of him in selecting a beauty for the part of Bonnie Parker

Then 16 years old, Dallas born Morgan Fairchild, played Faye Dunaway's double.
The case of a Princess doubling for the Queen

Sharon Tate, another Dallas born beauty, was considered
for the female half of the "Barrow Gang"......
Poor Sharon had become the victim of another gang......
......the "Charlie Manson Gang".

Tuesday Weld was pregnant at the time and turned down the part.

Jane Fonda, living in France at the time, did not want to relocate to the U.S.
which is good, 'cause she may have rebelled about one thing or another!

Ann-Margret had her pistols ready, but never got to use 'em!

Carol Lynley with a gun and cigar?...no!...although I like the thought!

Natalie Wood was dressed and ready, but the caller hung up!

Actually, Natalie Wood, Woodn't - because she didn't want to be separated
from her analyst while the filming was taking place away from her home.

Shirley MacLaine is Warren Beatty's real life sister

Leslie Caron?...well the French (do) wear berets!

Cher too was set for the casting couch, but Sonny wasn't happy with the idea.

Oh shoot!...Jean Hale needed a cigarette after losing the part as Bonnie

Sue Lyon - 1967's "The Flim-Flam Man" was considered by Beatty for the
part, but was flim flam'd by him at the last moment, when suddenly it just
happened, he chose Faye Dunaway - 1967's "The Happening" instead.

Hilary Duff - "The Perfect Bonnie"
Actress/singer Hilary Duff's photo spread appeared in a recent issue of ALLURE Magazine - which came out April 22nd.
Inspired by the 1967 movie Bonnie and Clyde, ALLURE'S Creative Director Paul Cavacoshe styled Ms. Duff after Faye Dunaway.

"The Story of Bonnie and Clyde"???

Article below is six years old

Article four years later

This movie was said to have been "in the works" longer than I care to remember. If it takes any longer,
Ms. Duff will be old enough to portray Bonnie's mother! In the words of Larry the cable guy - Git-R-Done!

Hilary Duff - The Next Bonnie

The Hideout Tattler has been touting Hilary Duff for a long time now - as "The Perfect Bonnie" - proving once again,
that all you need is the right exposure! Now, how about grabbing up the talented Shia LaBeouf for the part of Clyde?!

THE ULTIMATE BONNIE AND CLYDE

IT NEVER HAPPENED
Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper were once considered for the part of C.W. Moss

Kirsten Dunst
I've always had a fondness for Kirsten Dunst, but after seeing her
in the part of Peggy Blomquist in Fargo Season 2, I'm hooked!

Maggie Gyllenhaal
Give this gal a cigar

my personal favorite

Not talking about "exact" looks, but for the intriguing actress that she is, plus some similarity too,
I wouldn't be too upset to actually see actress Maggie Gyllenhaal get the part of Bonnie Parker.
