BULLHEAD INN

In Austin, Texas, while Bonnie and Clyde hid out
in the Dillingham Pastures, they stopped in at the
Bullhead Inn. Photo above is from a 1933 advertisement.

MIDWAY CAMP

In Phillipsburg, Missouri, and was managed by Ed and Blanche Shank.
It carried a full range of "Standard Oil Products" and specialized
in tire and tube repairs. It had "drive-in cabins" and a separate
ladies' restroom, which was a luxury back then. There was also a cafe
where full meals and short orders could be whipped up by Mrs. Shank.

It's the oldest continuously operated saloon west of the

THE LAFITTE HOTEL
Seadrift, Texas

It's said that family may have lived in Seadrift at one time
and that Bonnie knew the area and spent time there in the past.
Bonnie and Clyde were said to have stayed here, and were spotted
by quite a few locals while hiding out in the area. Possibly
around the time they had stolen an automobile in nearby Victoria.

SAVED FROM THE WRECKING BALL

THE PHILLIPS TOURIST TAVERN
Excelsior Springs, Missouri

Alleged stopover for Bonnie and Clyde while in the area, shortly before their demise.
The write-up on the tavern's postcard no doubt fits the needs of the notorious couple!
unlike their experience at the Red Crown Tavern, nothing eventful happened here.
