OPEN LETTER
from John Neal Phillips

Hello Bonnie and Clyde Fan, Blanche Barrow's prison memoir,
"My Life with Bonnie and Clyde," will be released this fall,
a book I helped produce. I'm John Neal Phillips, the author
of "Running with Bonnie and Clyde." You may have heard of it,
or even have a copy. It includes information from police records,
court transcripts, and over 60 eyewitnesses interviews, including
interviews with Blanche Barrow, Marie Barrow, and Ralph Fults.
Or you may have seen me interviewed in one or more of the dozen
or so television documentaries I've appeared in, but you can also
read about me in the "Tattler" section of Frank Ballinger's
Bonnie and Clyde's Hideout, the best website out there on the
subject of Bonnie and Clyde. I was privilaged enough to be asked
to edit and annotate Blanche's memoir and to sift through her
five scrapbooks to chose the photos included in the upcoming book,
81 in all! The book is due for publication in November but the
publisher expects it to be ready to ship by September 29.If you're
interested in getting a copy before they hit the stores, order
from the publisher, University of Oklahoma Press - or phone the
publisher at 800-627-7377, or fax 800-735-0476, or go on-line
at http://oupress.com This will be the most intimate look at
the most intense period of Bonnie and Clyde's crime spree ever
published, written by Buck Barrow's wife - Clyde Barrow's sister-
in-law. We'll probably never see the like of it again. Thanks for
your time and visit Frank Ballinger's website early and often.
